Value Addition
Enhancing the market appeal of agricultural products through processing, packaging, branding, and other activities to increase their value and ensure greater profitability for farmers and stakeholders.
Past project:
Prototype Hygienic Sun-Dried Tomato development for cooperative mass production. Partners are required to provide Solar Dryers for improved safety and hygiene of the product and enhanced market penetration at home and other African countries.
Direct Marketing
Direct Agro-Marketing Initiative (Customer-Aligned Efficient and Effective Direct Agro-Marketing) aims to connect farmers directly with consumers and other end-users, minimizing intermediary involvement to ensure better prices for farmers and affordable products for buyers. It is designed to promote efficient, transparent, and sustainable supply chains for agricultural produce. This is new initiative targeted for implementation in 2025 in partnership with youths’ development associations in urban areas.
Cooperative Empowerment
Strengthening cooperatives to enable them to achieve their goals effectively, efficiently, and sustainably. It involves equipping cooperative members, leaders, and the organization as a whole with the knowledge, skills, resources, and systems necessary for self-reliance, better decision-making, and improved socio- economic outcomes. A robust cooperative constitutes integration platform for sustainably intensifying (scaling up) the successes of product development as well as any meaningful intervention program.
At the heart of CAEE is a mission to transform smallholder farmers’ cooperatives into thriving, market- driven entities. By equipping them with innovative agricultural extension services, strategic market insights, and robust capacity-building programs, we aim to enhance productivity, streamline commercialization, and unlock their economic potential. Our approach emphasizes sustainability, ensuring that the growth we foster leads to long-term prosperity for farmers, their communities, and the agricultural value chain as a whole.
CAEE targets to commence providing full scale services to farmers cooperatives in 2025 onward under a project tagged: “GROWTH”, Generating Revenue through Organic Farming, Workforce empowerment in Trade and Home-grown agricultural produce implemented across 44 local government areas (LGAs) in Kano state.
